Legs Electric - Seven Years
Rodney's Bait and Tackle, Mosman, Perth, Sat 22 Jun 2019
Celebrating seven years of Maximum Rock N Roll, and befitting these rambunctious purveyors of hard rock gems, Legs Electric landed in a sweat pit that had style.
The chosen venue, Rodney’s Bait and Tackle, had décor that boasted chic panache with an audience to suit. The interior was packed from bow to stern, and such was their enthusiasm they that generated a copious amount of sweet smelling sweat.
Playing a two set mix of originals and covers these Rock N Roll Angels delivered a mix that guaranteed satisfaction. Set one included originals such as ‘Temporary Road’, the blitzkrieg pocket rocket that is ‘Wanna Riot’, ‘Trigger’ and ‘Illicit Love’.
Covers included ‘Black Night’ (Deep Purple), ‘Go Your Own Way’ (Fleetwood Mac) and ‘Evie’ (Stevie Wright).
Set two was a bit hazy due to the euphoria that was generated by the preceding set. Don’t quote me but ‘Strange Addiction’, the moody blues of ‘Dark Paradise’ and latest release ‘Tuesday Girl’ were among the originals that all surfaced.
A friend from the crowd was invited up to join on vocals for ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and the set closed with an AC/DC cover ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ (a question mark on the actual song is bouncing about in my cranium but the title seems appropriate for the night).
These Devils with Angel Wings left the stage but are not signing off as they are currently toying with new compositions in the jamming space.
Here’s to another seven years of Maximum Rock N Roll that delivers Classic Rock with No Fears.
