With current guitarist Elana being unavailable the Legs promised to keep the show on the road. The surprise materialised in Laura, long time guitarist of daze gone past, setting up on stage.
Once the staggered opening of “Illicit Love” was up and running the Legs embarked upon a set of grooving, pumping rock.
All the classics were there with ‘Black Magic’, ‘Wanna Riot’, ‘Strange Addication’ leading the charge. New numbers ‘Sold My Soul’ and ‘Snake Man’ were also giving an airing.
With frenetic drumming from Kylie fuelling the drive, Erin supplying the bass line rubber, riff laden hooks and skin tearing solo’s from Laura providing the bodywork and exuberant Ama at the vocal wheel it was a mad driving set.
‘Dark Paradise’ followed the “If/Black Night” segue way. The tear jerking riffs of ‘She’s Like a Saint’ exploded into ‘Tuesday Girl’ with ‘Kingdom’ closing the set.
Great to see Legs Electric alive and local.
